Nine Sunderland pubs where you could have toasted in the new year in the 1970s

The Black Swan to the Victoria Inn

The countdown to 2024 is on - and so is your chance to relive the memories of where you would have toasted a 1970s new year.

All of these Sunderland venues were around 50 years ago but which one was your favourite.

Was it the Black Swan at Silksworth Row or the Victoria Inn at South Hylton.

We've got the Painted Wagon in Holmeside and The Ford in Hylton Road.

There are photos from 1970 to 1979. Have a look.
