Sunderland's 'Après-Ski Party' to feature Radio 1 DJ Charlie Hedges
Charlie also performed at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Sunderland in May.
Silksworth Sports Complex and Ski Slope is set to host its second Après-Ski Party – with Radio 1 DJ Charlie Hedges returning to provide the tunes.
The centre, operated by Everyone Active for Sunderland City Council, holds the party on Friday, October 23, from 5pm-10pm following a successful 2025 inaugural event.
The evening will feature skiing, snowboarding, tubing, food and drink stalls and other winter activities, while Charlie will be there with her unique party set.
Charlie is best known for hosting BBC Radio 1’s Dance Anthems and performed at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Sunderland in May.
Tickets are £10. Under-fives enter free.
Everyone Active’s contract manager Ian Bradgate said: “We’re delighted to welcome Charlie Hedges back to Sunderland and know she will play a huge part in making this an amazing event.
“Whether you’re coming for the snow-style sports, the party atmosphere or just great food and music, our Après-Ski Party is the place to be.

Everyone Active runs leisure facilities across Sunderland, including Sunderland Aquatic Centre, where Charlie Hedges previously performed.
