Fifteen-year-old Seesha Dack left her North Shields home at 5pm on Sunday, August 30 before meeting a small group of friends at the Fish Quay, also in North Shields.

The friends went their separate ways at around 7pm and while the rest of the group returned home, Seesha has not been seen since.

Officers searching for the teenager said her phone has been switched off, meaning family and friends are unable to contact her.

Seesha has not been reported missing to the police before, the force said, and her disappearance is “out of character”.

Superintendent Craig Metcalfe, of Northumbria Police, said: “Our officers have been combing the local area and have been making extensive enquiries in an effort to locate Seesha.

“Every phone call we receive reporting a possible sighting of Seesha is being investigated in depth and we thank the public for their support and continued vigilance.

“This is highly out of character for Seesha and her family and friends are worried sick.

“We are continuing to offer support to her family at this time and would ask anybody who has seen or heard from her, or might know her whereabouts, to please come forward, any information, no matter how insignificant you might think it is, could prove crucial to finding Seesha.

“If Seesha sees this appeal then we want you to know that you’re not in any trouble. We just want to make sure you are okay and can offer you any support you need.”

Seesha, or anyone with information about her whereabouts, is asked to contact 101 as soon as possible quoting reference 947 300820.
