Eight of the top ten secured wins, with a number of dominant performances. The only two sides not to win, Doncaster and Coventry City, played out a predictably tight draw that underlined the poise with which both sides have started the campaign. At the top, there were some big results for Portsmouth and Accrington Stanley, who bounced back from some concerning results with key wins. Here, Phil Smith runs through the results as usual to try and identify some of the key trends in the division...
13. 11. Rotherham (-2)
Struggling to find any real consistency in performances and results, comfortably beaten by a Bristol Rovers side climbing up the table. Still have games in hand on those above them but not showing play-off form yet. Photo: George Wood
14. 10. Blackpool (-2)
A good result away at Lincoln City, holding onto a lead established in the first half. Had to absorb a fair amount of pressure to get over the line. Did well to battle through with a couple of their key attacking players sidelined. Photo: Mark Runnacles
15. 9. Bristol Rovers (+1)
Another win built on a strong defence and a goal from Jonson Clarke-Harris, one of the most valuable strikers in the league this season. Quietly moved to within a point of the play-off places. Photo: Alex Davidson
16. 8. Oxford United (+3)
The form side not just in League One but arguably the entire football league. Have now hammered in 13 goals with no reply in three games, one of those against West Ham United. A side that always seems to have attacking threat, Karl Robinson will hope this is the catalyst for a play-off push. With Matt Taylor scoring goals and outstanding young midfielder Shandon Baptiste scoring goals, they look good. Photo: Alex Burstow
