Dirty Leeds? Sunderland defender’s partner shares gruesome Instagram photo of Jayden Bogle tackle
Reinildo Mandava’s partner shared a revealing Instagram photograph after a challenge that sparked anger among Sunderland supporters during the Leeds United draw
Reinildo Mandava’s partner has shared a photograph showing the painful aftermath of Jayden Bogle’s challenge during Sunderland’s goalless draw against Leeds United.
The image, posted on Instagram, showed several red grazes across the defender’s torso and side, with another visible near his waist. Three hand-over-mouth emojis accompanied the photograph. Bogle was booked after catching Reinildo with a raised boot during the second half at the Stadium of Light. Sunderland supporters called for a red card, but the Leeds defender remained on the pitch.

The photograph offered a closer look at the marks left by a challenge that angered the home crowd during a fiercely contested Premier League encounter. Reinildo returned at left-back as Régis Le Bris made six changes from Thursday’s Europa League draw at Lech Poznań, helping Sunderland keep a clean sheet in difficult conditions.
The result ended a run of four consecutive league defeats, although Sunderland remained bottom with five points from eight matches. Brian Brobbey and Nilson Angulo were denied by James Trafford as the hosts created opportunities to secure a victory.
There was also concern over Nordi Mukiele, who was replaced by Omar Alderete following an accidental collision with Luke O’Nien early in the second half. Reinildo, however, completed the full game. Despite their painful appearance, the marks appeared to be grazes, with no indication from the post that his availability would be affected. Sunderland next host Brentford in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday evening before travelling to Coventry City for another important Premier League fixture on Saturday.
