‘I need your help more than ever’

Allan was well known as the Ryhope CW Football Club manager and Maureen vowed to keep up the charity work in his memory.

She's continuing her great work this year at The Alexandra in Grangetown on November 15.

Maureen told us: “This year I'm supporting four families so need your help more than ever.”

Her aim was to ‘help make life easier for their children’, said Maureen who is hoping to raise enough money and support to buy a therapy mat, a special night alarm, a specialised mattress and outdoor seating.

‘I said I would do one fundraising event in Allan's memory. This is my 25th’

Maureen would like help with ‘selling football cards, doing raffles, sponsorship and fill jars with change etc’.

“I do these nights on my own and I've got a lot to do to help these families so any extra help will be very gratefully received,” she added.

Allan died aged 43, and Maureen previously told us "Up to the last year we had together, we tried to fundraised for children that were sick."

"I said I would do one fundraising event in Allan's memory. This is my 25th’.
