Heartwarming on a cold day
It was a chilly day and people wrapped up warm for a historic occasion.
Despite the cold, children lined up to get a view of the then Prince of Wales.
Charles also called in at Age Concern and there to say hello was Sunderland's oldest person - Dorothy Ovenden who was aged 107 at the time.
