Sunderland Empire jobs at risk as part of regional restructure by owners ATG
It’s believed Sunderland Empire staff are among those affected by a regional restructure.
Around 80 regional jobs are at risk at ATG, the entertainment company which owns Sunderland Empire.

A restructure of regional teams across the country is affecting positions across community, ticketing and marketing teams, which the Echo understands affects Empire staff under consultation.
ATG operates 70 international venues, including a number of West End, including Piccadilly Theatre and Apollo Victoria Theatre, and regional UK theatres, including Stockton Globe, Theatre Royal Brighton, Edinburgh Playhouse and Sunderland Empire.
When approached by the Echo, ATG said it wouldn’t comment on individual sites, however, the entertainment company confirmed its restructure.
A statement reads: “As we look to further strengthen our operating model and drive the next phase of growth across the business, we are reviewing team structures to ensure they are focused on delivering maximum impact.
“As a result of these proposed changes, a small number of roles across our marketing, community and ticketing teams have been placed in consultation."
