The offer will help members of the Armed Forces community attend remembrance services and commemorations across the North East, as communities come together to honour those who have served and remember those affected by conflict.

Free travel is available to serving military personnel in uniform or carrying valid military identification, cadets in uniform, and veterans wearing their medals or a Veterans Badge.

Steve Walker, Managing Director of Stagecoach North East, said: “Remembrance is a time for us all to pause, reflect and recognise the service and sacrifice of members of the Armed Forces, past and present.

“We’re pleased to continue offering free travel to eligible serving personnel, veterans and cadets, helping people attend local commemorations and pay their respects. Our teams will also lay wreaths at remembrance services in the communities we serve, as a mark of our gratitude and respect.”

Stagecoach is a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant, demonstrating “our commitment to recognising and supporting the Armed Forces community”.
