Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby highlights work of Thorney Close food bank to her millions of followers

The reality TV star posted on her Instagram stories to highlight how much stock the food bank has and what is available.

In a series of posts on her Instagram stories, Charlotte Crosby visited the food bank at Thorney Close Action & Enterprise Centre where she added the opening times and the address of the food bank for those who need it.

The 30-year-old also revealed to her followers that she had also made a donation and even revealed that they stock dog food for those needing to feed their pets.

It comes as many businesses and food banks across the country are offering free meals for children after MPs voted against extending free school meals throughout the October half term.

The TV star highlighted the community run food bank to her seven million followers on instagram and three million Twitter followers.

She tweeted: "I'm so incredibly proud of the guys down at Thorney Close Enterprise Centre for setting up a local food bank.

"There is so much stuff here I've just come and dropped loads of stuff off. This one is open from 1pm to 3pm so if you are in need of absolutely anything there's even dog food here get yourselves down.
