Criminal's expensive cinema trip and more of the latest Sunderland court cases

The following cases from the Sunderland area were heard at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court:

Aaron Henson, 28, of Portree Square, Sunderland, was banned from driving for 22 months, fined £300 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting drink driving on August 7.

David Allan Stead, 35, of no fixed address, received a 12-month conditional discharge after admitting being drunk in a public place in Sunderland on August 5.

Kristofer Victor Venner, 22, of Fawdon Bridge Road, Sunderland, received a 24-week jail term, which was suspended for a year, was banned from driving for a year and ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting dangerous driving, driving without a valid licence, driving without insurance and failing to stop when required to do so by a police officer on July 24.

Aaron Christopher Thomas Bailey, 25, of Lake Avenue, South Shields, received 10 penalty points, was fined £266 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting being in charge of a vehicle in Sunderland while over the legal alcohol limit on August 9.

Brian Ramshaw, 42, of Belle Vue Crescent, Ashbrooke, Sunderland, received a community order, was fined £120 and ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £620 costs after admitting attempting to burgle the Empire Cinema on January 10.

Latham Miller, 25, of South Burns, Chester-le-Street, received a three-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay a £22 victim surcharge and £85 costs after admitting possessing amphetamines in Sunderland on August 5, being drunk and disorderly on August 5 and failing to surrender to bail on August 9.
