As part of Season 2, a total of four new Operators (the game’s playable characters) are coming to the game.

Naga is a former warlord who grew rich trafficking drugs and weapons, feared by his men because of his temper and brutality, who personally delivers vengeance to those who dare to stop or intercept his contraband. He’ll be available on launch week.

Samantha Maxis has appeared in the Call of Duty canon before, but her inclusion outside of the Zombies mode marks the first time she has been playable as an Operator.

Wolf learned to hunt in the bayous of Louisiana surrounding his grandparent’s home, and entered military service on his 18th birthday in memory of his fallen brother; he now stalks more dangerous prey as an elite sniper.

Rivas grew up in Nicaragua surrounded by cartels and their wars with rival gangs, and her firsthand experience drove her to dedicate her life to ridding her country of their influence, using guerrilla tactics to weaken them by any means necessary.

Maxis, Wolf and Rivas will be made available for Black Ops Cold War and Warzone as part of separate Store Bundles in Season Two.

What are the new weapons?

Six new weapons are coming to the game as part of the Season 2 update.

The FARA 83 is a fully-automatic assault rifle with one of the fastest fire rates in its class and outstanding effective range for solid damage – it can be obtained for free to use in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone by reaching Tier 15 of the Season 2 Battle Pass.

The LC10 is a well-rounded full auto submachine gun with solid accuracy, an effective damage range, an above-average fire rate, and lower recoil – it unlock at Tier 31 of the Season 2 Battle Pass.

The Machete is a fairly self-explanatory melee weapon, and the preferred weapon of choice for new Operator Naga in stealth and close-quarters engagements.

The E-Tool is another weapon not necessarily designed for mass slaughter, but here we are. It’s a military style tri-fold shovel typically used to dig a defensive fighting position, but is just as effective as a weapon in extreme close quarters.

The R1 Shadowhunter is a simple and lightweight crossbow with great handling and the ability to eliminate enemies quietly; players can still shoot accurately from the hip in close quarters.

The ZRG 20mm is a bolt-action sniper rifle that boasts a faster bullet velocity than any other weapon in its class, as well as the ability to eliminate Operators with a single shot to the head, chest, or shoulders in exchange for a slower fire rate.

What's new in Zombies?

The game’s Zombies mode is getting one of its biggest updates with Season 2.

Going by the title ‘Outbreak’, the updates takes players into a new, large-scale map set within the Ural Mountains, and is a co-operative experience that up to four players can enjoy at once.

According to the developers, Outbreak takes place “across massive play spaces throughout the Ural Mountains, packed with new enemies, team objectives, player rewards, and intel to discover on foot, in vehicles, or by jump pads.
