And the head coach has made a HUGE attacking call with both Ross Stewart and Charlie Wyke in the team for the League One clash!

And it is fair to say Johnson is targeting a win with Aiden McGeady and Jordan Jones also in the team.

Grant Leadbitter also returns to the side and will be partnered in midfield by Carl Winchester.

A win for Sunderland could send the Black Cats into the automatic promotion spots for the first time since April 2019 under Jack Ross.

And, as usual, Wearsiders have been quick to react to the starting XI.

Here’s how you reacted on Twitter to Johnson’s team to face Posh at the Weston Homes Stadium:

@15jgilmore: “Stewart and Wyke up front.”

@Kevsafc22: “Going for it long ball with that disgraceful pitch.”

@juaneddy1: “Looking at that team, I am somewhat guessing the midfield won’t be involved much today and a lot of balls will be going into the box.”

@MJL_SAFC: “That's what you call GOING FOR IT!”

@joel_gradwell: “Looks like a 4-4-2 to me boys and girls. Big Chaz and a 9ft beast up top. Pump balls into the box will be the tactic of the day I'm sure.”

@davis0688: “Glad to see Winchester back. Really don’t agree with Leadbitter starting and definitley think we should have went to a back 3. Happy to see Hume back in the squad.”
