Sunderland ended their US tour on a high with a win over Wrexham in Philadelphia.
Nordi Mukiele’s goal was the difference between the two teams and though Wrexham improved in the latter stages as a younger Black Cats side took to the field, the result was a deserved one that will encourage Regis Le Bris.
Here’s how we rated all the Black Cats involved in Pennslyvania...

Made a couple of good interventions from Wrexham set pieces in a steady showing. Not as many opportunities to get forward as the other night but got through his hour on the pitch with no troubles. 6 | Getty Images
6. CM - Habib Diarra
Looks really sharp which is good to see. Made some very dangerous runs beyond the defence early on and was good in duels throughout, often coming out on top to win loose balls for his team. 8 | Getty Images
7. CM - Noah Sadiki
An excellent performance that really bodes well for the season ahead. Played in a deeper position and took the ball well off the goalkeeper and defence. Won his duels to help his side control midfield and still managed some good moments going forward. 8 | Frank Reid
8. CM - Chris Rigg
Had another good game in midfield. Glided clear of tackles nicely throughout and played some good passes. 7 | Chris Fryatt, Echo
