Sunderland stopped their losing run but remain bottom of the Premier League table after a 0-0 draw with Leeds United at the Stadium of Light on Sunday afternoon.
Though the visitors finished the game well, the Black Cats limited their opposition to few chances and possibly had just about the best of the contest.
Here’s how we rated all the Black Cats involved on the day...
9. CM - Enzo Le Fee
Full of clever touches and worked very hard, making one huge recovery run and interception to deny Tanaka a clear chance. Just missed one or two passes before he was withdrawn. 7 | Sunderland Echo, Chris Fryatt
10. LW - Nilson Angulo
Had an excellent game. Worked his socks off and was an outlet on the ball. Unlucky to be denied by a couple of smart Trafford stops. Taken a step forward in the last couple of games. 8 | AFP via Getty Images
11. ST - Brian Brobbey
Had a good effort saved early on and nearly beat Trafford with a decent effort that the goalkeeper just saved with his trailing boot. Held it up well at times but did look a little tired before he came off after the hour mark. 6 | Martin Rickett/PA Wire
12. Sub - Omar Alderete
To his credit, got through the second half after last weekend’s struggles. Kept it simple on the ball and didn’t take any risks. 7 | Sunderland's Omar Alderete. Photo by Chris Fryatt.
