Sunderland stopped their losing run but remain bottom of the Premier League table after a 0-0 draw with Leeds United at the Stadium of Light on Sunday afternoon.
Though the visitors finished the game well, the Black Cats limited their opposition to few chances and possibly had just about the best of the contest.
Here’s how we rated all the Black Cats involved on the day...
1. GK - Robin Roefs
Didn’t have much to do after Sunderland rediscovered their defensive platform but did well to get down and make one smart late stop from substitute Sean Longstaff. 7 | Getty Images
2. RB - Trai Hume
Landed one trademark sliding tackle on Gudmundsson in the first half that got the crowd going. Kept it simple and did well in the main defensively. 6 | Sunderland Echo, Chris Fryatt
3. CB - Nordi Mukiele
Had a good first half in which he did the defensive basics well and made good choices on the ball. Forced off in the second half after being caught in the throat by his own team mate. 7 | Sunderland Echo, Chris Fryatt
4. CB - Luke O'Nien
Had an excellent game. One or two nervy moments as the wind swirled but coped with it and did very well in his duel with Calvert-Lewin. Totally justified his recall to the starting XI and made a lot of important interventions. 8 | Chris Fryatt, Echo
