Sunderland stopped their losing run but remain bottom of the Premier League table after a 0-0 draw with Leeds United at the Stadium of Light on Sunday afternoon.
Though the visitors finished the game well, the Black Cats limited their opposition to few chances and possibly had just about the best of the contest.
Here’s how we rated all the Black Cats involved on the day...
5. LB - Reinildo
Generally did pretty well defensively though he did have one or two tricky moments under the high balls in the wind. Coped well after taking a yellow card in the first half when beaten to the ball by Bogle. 6 | Sunderland Echo, Chris Fryatt
6. CM - Granit Xhaka
Took him a little while to get up to the pace of the game but competed well in midfield and tidy enough in possession for the most part. Didn’t quite see the flashes of quality we’re used to on the ball. 6 | Sunderland Echo, Chris Fryatt
7. CM - Noah Sadiki
Covered a huge amount of ground. Might have liked to have offered a bit more in the final third but his defensive contributions were important. 7 | Sunderland Echo, Chris Fryatt
8. RM - Chris Rigg
Really tenacious display on the right and he won a number of important duels throughout the game. Would have liked to have brought a bit more on the ball but he didn’t have loads and loads of opportunities. 6 | AFP via Getty Images
