Sunderland climbed into the top half of the Premier League with a crucial and deserved win against Spurs.
Though Nordi Mukiele benefited from a huge deflection to put his side ahead in the second half, Regis Le Bris’s side were worthy of the three points on a day when they spurned some big chances and limited Spurs to little.
Here’s how we rated all 14 of the Black Cats involved on the day...
9. RM - Chris Rigg
Tenacious through the first hour without really being able to impose himself on the game. Grew into it and had a shot well blocked just before he came off. 6 | Sunderland Echo
10. LM - Enzo Le Fee
Put in some brilliant deliveries throughout the first half and was so unlucky not to get an assist. Tired late on on his return to the starting XI and got away with one or two sloppy passes. 7 | Getty Images
11. CF - Brian Brobbey
Did his growing cult status no harm at all with another dominant centre-forward performance. Created so many openings for the players around him with the only frustration being he missed two big chances. 7 | Getty
12. Sub - Chemsdine Talbi
Couldn’t make the most of a couple of promising positions but helped his team see it out. 5 | Getty Images
