Sunderland fans face passport requirement and ticket deadline for Lech Poznań trip in Europa League

Sunderland supporters travelling to Poland must collect their tickets in person before Thursday’s deadline, with compulsory coaches also in place.

Sunderland supporters travelling to Lech Poznań must collect their match tickets in person before Thursday’s deadline and bring their passports to complete the process.

The club has confirmed that tickets for the Europa League fixture are paper only, with no digital or PDF alternatives available. Each supporter must collect their own ticket, with the name matching their passport. Collection takes place in the Monte Carlo suite at the Andersia Hotel, Pl. Władysława Andersa 3, in Poznań.

The collection point opens from 10am until 6pm on Wednesday, October 21, and from 10am until 3.30pm on Thursday, October 22. These are local times, with Poland one hour ahead of the UK. That means Thursday’s collection deadline falls more than three hours before kick-off. Supporters arriving on matchday should factor the hotel visit into their plans before heading towards the stadium.

Fans will receive a coach ticket alongside their match ticket. Local authorities require Sunderland supporters to use official coaches for travel to and from the ground. The game starts at 6.45pm local time, or 5.45pm in the UK, with turnstiles opening two hours beforehand.

There will also be a 30-minute holdback after the final whistle, something supporters should account for when arranging their journey afterwards. With ticket collection, coach travel and stadium entry all separate parts of the day, leaving sufficient time between each will help supporters avoid a rush. Further updates will be shared through Sunderland’s Fan Information WhatsApp channel. Fans should check the club’s latest guidance before setting off on matchday. www.safc.com.
