Sunderland fans deliver their verdict on Will Grigg's future and whether he deserves another chance

Sunderland fans are split on Will Grigg’s future at the Stadium of Light – after the striker insisted he remains ‘fully committed’ to the Black Cats.

But do supporters feel that the big-money signing could still deliver the goods?

In a poll on Twitter, a narrow majority of 51.1% believe that Grigg does still have a future at Sunderland – while 48.9% feel his days in the North East are numbered.

Fans had plenty to say on the 29-year-old’s future on our Facebook page, too.

Dwighta Davies posted: “He might have been a bust but now his minds in the right place and he wants to stay and prove he can stay here i say we should give him another chance.”

Denise Sherraton added: “Well if he moves up here we might see a different player and we should give him another chance”

But John Teasdale argued: “Not sure watched him quite a few games at the stadium I've tried to compare him with bent who was probably caught offside more often than not but was always ready, wear as this chap his body language awful doesn't seem to anticipate anything.”

Wayne Tomlin agreed, saying: “Nope he is a flop, and doesn't look interested at all”
