Sunderland are preparing for their Championship fixture against Coventry City this weekend – while both clubs are dealing with multiple injury issues.
The Black Cats recorded their first win of the season with a 2-1 victory over Rotherham last weekend, with Jobe Bellingham scoring his first senior goals.
Coventry have taken four points from their first three league games this season, following a 1-1 draw at Swansea last time out.

9. Jewison Bennette (Sunderland) - Out

11. Chris Rigg (Sunderland) - Doubt
After being named on the bench for Sunderland's first two Championship matches this season, Rigg, 16, was forced off with concussion during an under-21s match last week. 12. Eliezer Mayenda (Sunderland) - Out
After signing for Sunderland from French club Sochaux, 18-year-old striker Mayenda suffered a hamstring in his first training session on Wearside. The striker believes he could return in around two to three weeks. Photo: SEBASTIEN BOZON
