Sunderland AFC transfer rumours: Will Grigg latest as Celtic told to sign Wearside star as Cats linked with ex-England youth international
Sunderland are preparing for a summer of change.
Lee Johnson’s men failed to overcome Lincoln City over two legs in the League One play-off semi-final and now face a fourth straight season in the third tier of English football.
Kyril Louis-Dreyfus, though, has confirmed that Johnson will remain on as head coach next campaign during a recent interview.
The Black Cats have also produced their retained list with Grant Leadbitter, Josh Scowen, Max Power and Callum McFadzean amongst others departing the club.
Here, we take a look at the latest Sunderland transfer news and general talk from around League One:
Sunderland’s exiled forward Will Grigg has seemingly hinted at making his MK Dons loan spell permanent in a recent interview. He said: “It’s felt like home and that’s partly down to the fans – even though they haven’t been here, you see the messages they send in. It felt great right from that very first week and that didn’t change.” (Sunderland Echo)
