A new era arrived for the Sunderland Echo when we moved to the huge Pennywell offices in 1976.

The building could be spotted from the A19 and thousands of people paid a visit - including the Toy Dolls, Prince Charles and camera crews.

It was our home for decades and we invite you to join us for a look inside once more.
