Meet a small selection of the big-hearted people who spared time to speak to the Sunderland Echo over the years.
We caught up with these 9 readers in Sea Road, Fulwell, in 2009 and they gave their opinions on employment issues.
We thank them for sharing their views. Get in touch if you spot someone you know, but only after browsing through our retro gallery.
