Don your best ghoulish outfits, a big Monsters Ball is heading to the city’s newest venue.

British Arena opened its doors this month after a major transformation, and extension, of the former Audi garage in Sheepfolds, just opposite the Stadium of Light.

As well as being an arena for major eSports events, it’s also a multipurpose site for comedy, music, corporate events and sports events.

Being so close to the Stadium of Light, part of its offering is as a fanzone for home games and big international matches, as well as other live sports and it held its first big football event with Sunderland’s victory over Torreense on the big screen.

Now, it’s gearing up for its first big ball - a Monsters Ball.

Fancy dress is highly encouraged at the event, which takes place from 7pm to late on Saturday, October 31.

Expect a monstrous mix of house, club classics, 90s and 00s throwbacks and the biggest floor-filling bangers, brought to life with Halloween production on the arena's huge 16.5 metre LED screen.

The event is for over 18s only and it's £10 a ticket from the British Arena website.
