Trespasser on the line causes delays for Metro passengers
Metro passengers are facing up to 30 minute delays after someone was spotted walking near the tracks.
Tyne and Wear Metro has said the delays are affecting trains running between St James and South Shields due to a trespasser in the Walkergate area.
The service has asked people to leave extra time for their journey.
An ambulance attended Heworth Metro Station and she was taken to hospital.
