Sunderland homes sealed off by police due to 'ongoing incident'
A cordon has been thrown around houses on a Sunderland housing estate by police.
Northumbria Police confirmed there is an "incident ongoing" in Fordfield Road on the Ford Estate, but said no further details are available at this time.
The section of houses within the cordon are opposite the Blackie playing field and a short distance from where the Ford and Hylton Lane Club once stood.
Residents have said police attended the scene at around midnight last night.
