Philippa, who works at Amy Bam Hair & Beauty Studio in Sunderland, said: “Halloween looks are the most time consuming, I like to draw and write down all my ideas before I start the look.

"My imagination can click at any moment where I think of more and more things I can add to one look so I have to write them all down so I don’t forget when it comes to producing the look.

"They can take anywhere up to two and seven hours for application and removal aswell as taking hundreds of photos to get the perfect one.”

She has since posed as a toffee apple, a woodland pixie and circus clown, posting the final look online as well as a behind-the-scenes video for how it was put together.

While this Halloween is set to be very different due to restrictions imposed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, Philippa has shared some simple steps to help you create your own macabre makeover from home.

"For an easy look, I’d recommend adhesive rhinestones to create mermaids/ice queens/princess and feel glam,” she said.

"Or grab your paints and create a colourful clown look with all the paints in your palettes, And most of all enjoy getting creative, there are no rules to make-up.”

So, what can we expect to see next?

And while this year will be no different, she’s not giving anything away about what we can expect to see on her Instagram page.

She added: “Expect big!”
