Here’s how you can nominate your NHS hero

Stagecoach is inviting people across Sunderland to recognise the extraordinary healthcare workers who support local communities by nominating their NHS Hero.

To celebrate the NHS's 78th anniversary, the bus operator is offering one deserving nominee a month's free Stagecoach bus travel.

Members of the public are encouraged to nominate an NHS colleague, friend or family member whose care, kindness or dedication has made a lasting impact.

Steve Walker, Managing Director of Stagecoach North East, said: "Healthcare workers across Sunderland provide outstanding care and support every day, and we're proud to recognise their dedication through this competition.

"Public transport plays an important role in connecting NHS colleagues with the communities they serve, and we're pleased to continue supporting them with discounted travel throughout the year."

Nominations can be made via the dedicated NHS Heroes competition post on Stagecoach's official social media channels as well as their website until Friday 31 July.
