Six neighbours in another Sunderland street are celebrating a lottery windfall
Six neighbours are celebrating a four-figure lottery windfall each.
The residents of St Michael’s, Fence Houses, near Houghton, are the latest in a series of people from the Sunderland area to enjoy payouts from the People’s Postcode Lottery.
They have each received £1,000 after their DH4 5NS postcode was selected as part of the latest People’s Postcode Lottery draw on November 7.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson said: “A huge congratulations to our winners in Houghton-le-Spring.
"I’m sure they’ll enjoy spending the cash and treat themselves to something special.”
A minimum of 32% of ticket sales goes directly to charities and the lotteries players have raised over £600 million to date for thousands of good causes.
This draw was made on behalf of Postcode Local Trust, a charity funded entirely by players to provide grants for grassroots projects with an environmental focus.
