Dalton Park is bringing The North East Pole to life as it releases its festive programme.

The season kicks of in style on November 7 from 4.30pm with a fireworks display – hosted by Hits Radio hosts Steve and Karen – and a live performance from Sunderland girl band Northern Daughters.

Following the fireworks, shoppers can make the most of extended opening hours until 8.30pm.

The artisan market will then return on November 8 and the festive market on December 12 and 13.

Santa’s Grotto is also making a comeback, with relaxed sessions taking place every Saturday from 10am until 10.30am, offering reduced noise, softer lighting and fewer visitors.

Santa’s Grotto will be open every Saturday from 10am until 5pm and from 11am until 4pm on Sunday – all the way from November 8 until December 20.

It will then open daily from 10.30am until 4pm from December 21 until December 23, and from 10.30am until 3pm on Christmas Eve.
