Opening date for Varo Lounge as it transforms empty unit in Sunderland's Keel Square
The opening will complete the four hospitality units beneath Holiday Inn.
A national hospitality brand has announced its opening date in Sunderland.

Earlier this summer, it was revealed that Loungers are transforming the corner unit beneath Holiday Inn in Keel Square into Varo Lounge.
After setting up social media channels for the restaurant, it’s been announced that they will open the doors on Wednesday, October 28.
On what Sunderland can expect from the new addition, the brand says: “Our informal cafe-bar will be open all day, every day for long, lazy breakfasts, sociable brunches and lunches and relaxed dinners and drinks.”
The site will have vegan and gluten-free options and will be dog-friendly.
There will also be a strong community offering, with a Coffee & Crime Book Club, Kids Breakfast Club and Teenage Kicks menu.
The addition will create a number of new job roles, with more information on how to apply at https://jobs.thelounges.co.uk/
Loungers has more than 250 locations across the UK and is known for its relaxed, family-friendly café-bar concept serving food and drinks throughout the day.
Loungers has three brands: Lounge, Cosy Club and Brightside, with the Sunderland site being part of the Lounge group as Varo Lounge.
The nearest in the Lounge group, and a flavour of what we could expect in Keel Square, is Cantoro Lounge at The Galleries in Washington.
Once open, Varo Lounge completes the development beneath the Holiday Inn joining The Botanist, Keel Tavern and Flower Cafe.
Another new addition heading to Keel Square is Blacks Corner, which will open on September 12 on the ground floor of Culture House.
It will feature the only cheese belt outside of London.
