Sex offender spent time at a house where children lived without telling the police
A sex offender who moved address and spent time at a house where children lived without informing the authorities has been jailed.
Brian Pay was put on the sex offenders register in 2012, after being convicted of lewd and libidinous behaviour at Hamilton Sherriff Court in Scotland.

As a result, he must inform the police if he moves address, stays away from his usual home or visits a property where there are children present.
Newcastle Crown Court heard in March last year a detective visited a property in London and found Pay, who had registered an address in Kent, living there.
Pay was questioned, confessed he had been living at the London property for around three months and was then bailed.

The court heard while he was on bail Pay spent time at an address in Sunderland, where a family with children lived and did not notify the authorities as required.
Pay, 44, of no fixed address, admitted two charges of failing to comply with notification requirements.
The court heard he has 28 offences on his record, including seven previous notification failures.
Judge Carolyn Scott jailed him for 28 months.
Kate Barnes, defending said Pay, who had a traumatic childhood and has mental health problems, did not commit any other offences during the times he was in breach and has felt unsupported by the probation service.
