Jury sworn in for Daniel Ambler murder trial as five defendants face Teesside Crown Court
The trial is expected to last between five and six weeks
Five suspects are facing a murder trial following the death of a man at a petrol station earlier this year.

Barry Anderson Snr, 52, of Canon Cockin Street, Hendon, Sunderland, Barry Logan Anderson, 19, of Nursery View, Shotton Bank, and Ashton Anderson, 20, of Ryton Street, Seaham, were all named by Durham Constabulary at the time after they were charged with murder and violent disorder following the death of Daniel Ambler.
Two teenagers who could not be identified at the time can now be named after turning 18 as the trial judge has lifted reporting restrictions.
They are Tyler Leadbetter, of Elgin Avenue, Seaham, and Ajay Henry, of Melrose Crescent, Seaham, who are both now 18.
All five are now standing trial at Teesside Crown Court.

Daniel Ambler, who was 23, suffered serious injuries at the Esso Asda Express service station, in Stockton Road, Seaham, at around 4.50pm on January 15 and died at the scene.
Durham Constabulary officers responded to reports of a collision between a car and pedestrian and Daniel was sadly pronounced dead.
Following the incident, a police cordon was put in place and a tent erected on the petrol station forecourt as police officers carried out their investigations.
Police tape was also placed outside the nearby Mallard Pub.
The incident sparked widespread shock in Daniel’s home town of Seaham and his family described how Daniel’s death would “leave a huge hole in our hearts”.
The trial is due to begin at on Tuesday with jurors informed by Judge Laird that he expects the trial to “last roughly five to six week”.
