Credibility nonexistent

Predictably Julie Elliot's new year message to her constituents, Echo January 7, repeats her favourite mantra that they must vote to stay in the EU in the upcoming referendum.

The EU which costs the British taxpayer £360million a week and which has inflicted a financial crisis throughout the Euro zone, that has bankrupted Greece and left Italy, Spain and Portugal on the brink of a similar fate.

Then of course there is the open border policy, which has allowed terrorists to infiltrate Europe to cause murder and mayhem in Paris and allowed criminals to sexually molest and assault hundreds of women across Germany.

Perversely, while campaigning to stay in the EU she conveniently forgets to mention that the Labour Party is now openly advocating the UK’s withdrawal from NATO, which has guaranteed the safety of Europe for 70 years.

Is it any wonder that the Labour Party and its MPs have zero credibility with the electorate.
