Johnny was due to kick off his first stand-up tour in 10 years at The Point in Park Lane on April 15, but the tour had to be postponed in line with Government advice.

As well as new tour dates, promoters M&B are offering 1000 free tickets for NHS workers in areas where he is performing.

And as well as the ticket offer, Johnny has teamed up with a number of charities to help get essentials to vulnerable residents and NHS staff during the coronavirus outbreak.

The new tour dates are:

8/10/20 - Plymouth Guild Hall

9/10/20 - Swindon Meca

10/10/20 - Coventry Rialto Plaza

11/10/20 - Sunderland The Point

22/10/20 - Norwich Epic Studios

23/10/20 - Kettering Wicksteed park

25/10/20 - Cheltenham Town Hall

From BBC Dickens adaptations to Benidorm and Ideal to the PG Tips ads, Johnny Vegas has become one of Britain’s best-loved comic actors.

But before his TV work, Johnny was a successful stand-up on the comedy circuit and this tour marks a return to his roots.

Johnny has racked up a number of accolades in his career including a Festival Critics' Award at the 1997 Edinburgh Festival, and being nominated for the Perrier Award.

He quit stand up over 10 years ago stating at the time that he was disillusioned with touring as the more famous he became, the less of a challenge it was to win over audiences.

He hinted he might return to the comedy circuit with a new show at some point, because he needed ‘closure’ on his stand-up.

Since then Johnny has been a regular in front and behind the camera as an actor, writer, director and comedian known for his alter-egos, surreal humour and unique voice.

Unwitting star of Shooting Stars (BBC2), Dave's One Night Stand and Channel 4's The Angelos Epithemiou Show, cult favourite Angelos Epithemiou supports Johnny Vegas on tour.
