The Bridges in Sunderland: Shop closures and reduced opening times during coronavirus outbreak

The Bridges shopping centre has confirmed that it is currently trading during its regular hours of 9am to 5.30pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

On Thursday the centre is open 9am to 8pm and on Sunday it is open 11am to 5pm.

Any shops with changes in hours are listed below, and shoppers are also advise checking opening times with individual stores.

In a message to customers on its website the Bridges said: “At the moment it is business as usual at the Bridges for customers who need to buy essential items.

“We ask that anyone who does decide to visit us should ensure they are following the Government guidelines in terms of social interaction, particularly if they fall into one of the at risk, vulnerable categories.

“Thank you for your cooperation.”

Meanwhile it confirmed that the planned Mother’s Day craft activities had been cancelled but invited shoppers to take photos with its flower wall to celebrate the occasion.

Esquires Coffee – Open 8.30am to 5pm (Monday to Saturday) and 10am to 4pm (Sunday).

Greggs – Open 9am to 5.30pm (Monday to Sunday) and 9am to 5.30pm (Thursdays).

Iceland – Open 10am to 6pm.

Flying Tiger – Open 9am to 5.30pm (Monday to Saturday).

Lush – Open 9am to 5.30pm (Monday to Saturday).

Swarovski – Open 9am to 5.30pm (Monday to Saturday) and 9am to 6pm (Thursday).
