11. Christmas Crafts
Creative You Junior hosts Christmas Crafts at Arts Centre Washington on Thursday 21 December from 11am-12:30pm and 1pm-2:30pm. The event is free with priority given to children from the Washington East ward. This free, hour-and-a-half workshop – suitable for 8 to 10 year olds and their families – includes everything you need to make your own quirky seasonal decoration. Photo: Submitted
12. Christmas stocking trail
Come into the city centre this Christmas and enjoy the magical Christmas Stocking Trail until January 7. This year, you can hunt four giant stockings decorated by local schools and community groups. They will be placed at a few different businesses in the city centre. The trail also includes seven AR Christmas characters that you can find hidden away. The streets of Sunderland will be filled with lots of hidden gems, so download the Sunderland Experience app for free on Apple or Android to unwrap the hidden characters around the city.
