6. Spooky Science Parties, Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens
Half-term will begin with a bang at Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens – quite literally – when Spooky Science Parties on Monday, October 23 will include amazing science demonstrations and spooky experiments with the Big Science UK organisation. 7. Free Half Term Tennis, various locations
Everyone Active will be delivering free tennis sessions over half term at the following locations: Monday 23, Hetton Park, 10am - 11.30am. Tuesday 24, Barley Mow, 10am - 11.30am. Thompson Park, 12pm - 1.30pm. Wednesday 25, Usworth Park, 10am - 11.30am. Thursday 26, Ryhope Park, 10am - 11.30am. Barnes Park, 12pm - 1.30pm. Sunday 29, Roker Park,10am - 11am. 8. Halloween fun days, National Glass Centre
The fun starts at National Glass Centre with Halloween Family Fun Days on Monday, October 23, Wednesday, October 25 and Friday, October 25 (1pm). The activities will include creepy crafts, gruesome glass painting, a scavenger hunt and food. The recommended age for the sessions (which will last three hours and cost £20 per child) is between four and seven.
