East Boldon Scout Group's spooky Halloween fundraiser

The spooky fun comes courtesy of the East Boldon Scout Group.

The East Boldon Scout Group has some ghostly fun lined up this Halloween.

The group has set up its village-wide Halloween Trail, where participants pick up a trail sheet to help solve a mystery. During the trail there are some wonderful scary sights to see, with houses and other buildings decorated appropriately for the spookiest day of the year.

The Scout group has also organised a whole range of Halloween games and activity stalls for everyone to enjoy. Stall activities are ticket-based, with tickets available to buy in advance, or on the day.

Everyone is invited to the Scout hut, which is found behind the Grey Horse pub on Front Street, on Saturday, October 31, between noon and 4pm where you can pick up a trail sheet for just £2.50 to enjoy the spooktacular display around the village – and take part in the Halloween games and activities.

Ten fun activity stall tickets can be bought ahead of the event for £5.60. They can be used at all stalls expect food and drink stalls. Different stalls cost different number of tickets.

The event is to raise money for the East Boldon Scout Group itself.

Private homes as well as businesses in East Boldon have been entered into a competition, also run by the Scouts, to see which one comes out as the best and spookiest according to a public vote. Each property has paid to enter.
