Joe said: "It's always great to be part of a new and exciting event and I’m thrilled to be performing in Sunderland this summer and showcasing some of the best known classical songs.

Joining Joe will be The Voice UK finalists duo, Belle Voci, known for performing classical music in a fresh and current way. Classically trained Faith Tucker will also be serenading audiences singing musical theatre and crossover in her mezzo soprano range and The Sage String Quartet completes the line-up.

Cllr Linda Williams, Sunderland City Council's Cabinet Member for Vibrant City said: "It is so exciting to be able to announce Music in Mowbray, a brand-new event to add to our already impressive summer line up of music concerts. We hope this event will appeal to new audiences and showcase the wonderful world of classical music, with a modern-day twist. We look forward to welcoming visitors to Mowbray Park for a wonderful evening of entertainment."
