Hardwick Festival: Everything you need to know about the two-day summer event, including timings and how to get tickets

One of the region’s largest music festivals is back this month, with fans set to flock to Hardwick Festival to see acts as varied as Stereophonics, The Specials, The Proclaimers and Becky Hill.

There is plenty to see and do at the festival, with five performance areas across the site, including the ‘soul forest’ and a stage run by BBC Introducing.

When is Hardwick Festival?

Hardwick Festival is held over two days, with music performed on Saturday, August 20, and Sunday, August 21.

Where is Hardwick Festival and how can I get to the site?

Hardwick festival is held on the grounds of Hardwick Hall, in Sedgefield, County Durham. The site is easily accessible from the north by the A177 from Coxhoe and the east and west by the A689 from Teesside and Bishop Auckland, respectively.

Are tickets still available for Hardwick Festival?

At the time of writing, the event is not sold out and tickets remain available through Ticketline.

Potential festival-goers can get individual day tickets priced at:

* £72.45 for adults

*£36.75 for 12-17-year-olds

*£15.75 for 3-11-year-olds

Full weekend tickets are priced at:

*£135.45 for adults

*£63 for 12-17-year-olds

*£31.50 for 3-11-year-olds.

Those who wish to camp need to pay an additional £57.75.

The event is also putting on coaches to ferry music fans between the site and locations across the North East.

Transport will be available to and from Newcastle, South Shields, Spennymoor, Stockton and Northallerton and can be booked online.

Who is playing Hardwick Festival 2022?

Festival organisers have put together an impressive line-up this year, ensuring there is something for everyone.

Pop fans should look no further than Becky Hill and Ella Eyre, while Saturday caters for guitar music fans, with Welsh rockers Stereophonics, Jake Bugg and Newcastle singer-songwriter Andrew Cushin playing.

Fans of the classics are also catered for with The Specials, who are headlining on Sunday, and The Proclaimers who won’t quite be travelling 500 miles to entertain crowds!

The Introducing stage will be headlined by Hayley McKay on the Saturday and Disregard featuring Dan James on the Sunday. This stage will see music come to an end earlier in the evening to allow crowds to head to the main stage for the biggest names throughout the weekend.
