We’ve rounded up some of the activities taking place for families across the city, from Christmas card making to socially-distanced pantos. Tickets are available now where applicable, but will be subject to change depending on any potential Government rulings in December.
9. Cinderella, Stack Seaburn, dates TBC

10. Reindeer Dash,
The annual Reindeer Dash at The Bridges can't take place in its usual form this year. However, people are able to buy tickets online to take part and carry out the run in their own time between 1 – 24 December in their garden, in a park or even running up and down the stairs at home. 11. Video calls from Santa, Beamish, throughout November and December
Each weekend, Santa Claus will be by the fireside in his festive Edwardian cottage at the museum, chatting to children via video call. Dates are released in blocks to book a slot. Visit the Beamish website. Photo: submitted
12. Design your own bauble, National Glass Centre, throughout December
Although you can't blow your own glass bauble this year, you can design it and watch it being made in front of you by the experts. There are sessions throughout December at National Glass Centre, priced £24 per person. The seating area can accommodate up to 8 participants per session with 2 metre social distancing in place.
