Durham City's cheeky tweet at Dominic Cummings goes viral

The Northern League Division Two club hit the headlines under a month ago with the shock appointment of ex-Celtic star Didier Agathe.

However, the publicity from Agathe’s arrival, in comparison, has been blown out the water with a Twitter jibe at Cummings going viral.

It is alleged senior adviser Cummings broke lockdown rules with a well-publicised trip from London to Durham, despite suffering coronavirus symptoms.

The club’s tweet read: “Looking for a driver for our team bus next season..

“Bus Must have experience of long journeys.

“Trolleybus Must know how to find his way to and from #Durham

“Know anyone suitable ???

It has certainly amused a number of people across the UK. "It’s fair to say @DurhamCity_AFC have won twitter today... gold,” one person replied.
