'You've completely lost touch' 'Shameful': Sunderland fans express FURY after latest season card update

Under plans released by the club today, those supporters due refunds for season cards or individual match tickets will see their refunds processed in three ten-day periods across July and August.

And it is the decision to process the refunds of season card holders last – with their date falling towards the end of August – that has supporters furious.

@davidsmithsafc added: “So those who have only been to 5 games a season and some of those who fancied a weekend away in Blackpool are above the loyal season ticket holders in the priority list”

@dj_lozza posted: “Im not even wanting my refund for the games that were cancelled tbh. But this regime is utterly pants at good pr and running this club. Shocking.”

@samsonplace tweeted: “So the once a season people get first refund but those of us who have stood by the club through its darkest period have to wait till last and those on DD scheme will have paid for part of next season before they get money back. This club is a joke.”

@martysafclane added: “Amazing how they need 3 x 10 day phases with 10 day breaks in between to process these, yet they can sell 40K Wembley tickets in just over a week or two. This regime are determined to alienate it's most loyal supporters. Shameful”

@GavinKeen8 asked: “So people will be paying for next season’s tickets before receiving a refund for last? Is this despite SAFC being in a fantastic financial position as declared many times previously?”
