Granit Xhaka, Brian Brobbey and Wilson Isidor all sent messages to fans on social after Sunderland’s win against Everton

Granit Xhaka, Brian Brobbey and Wilson Isidor have all sent messages to Sunderland supporters after the Black Cats’ superb comeback win over Everton.

Régis Le Bris’ side came from behind to win 3-1 at Hill Dickinson Stadium, with Brobbey, Enzo Le Fée and Isidor all on target in a memorable second-half turnaround. The result kept Sunderland’s European hopes alive heading into the final day of the Premier League season, with Chelsea still to come at the Stadium of Light.

Brobbey, who produced an excellent finish to bring Sunderland level, posted on Instagram: “Thank you to all the fans for the amazing support. Big win today, we keep pushing together.”

Xhaka, who captained Sunderland on Merseyside, also posted after the game, writing: “BIG CHARACTER. BIG WIN. LET’S GOOOO,” alongside clapping emojis and the hashtag “GX34”.

Isidor, meanwhile, wrapped up the victory late on after converting Habib Diarra’s cross at the back post. The French forward wrote: “A huge win to keep the dream alive... One last push next week.”

He also tagged Diarra and added: “quelle passe merci mon frère,” which translates to: “What a pass, thank you my brother.”

The post quickly attracted reaction from Sunderland team-mates, with Lutsharel Geertruida commenting “Willloooooo” and Luke O’Nien replying with heart and clapping emojis.

It all added to the feel-good mood after another big Sunderland away day. The Black Cats now head into the final day with something still to play for, knowing victory over Chelsea could yet be enough to secure European football if results elsewhere go their way.
