We’re only 11 games into the 2023/24 Championship season - yet there have already been multiple managerial changes in the second tier.
Wayne Rooney has taken charge of Birmingham City following the surprise sacking of John Eustace and The Blues’ strong start to the season.
At Sunderland, Tony Mowbray’s side appear to have built on last season’s run into the play-offs, while just over a year has passed since the 59-year-old replaced Alex Neil as the Black Cats’ head coach.
Here are the longest-serving managers in the Championship and how long they have been at their current clubs:

13. (12th) Carlos Corberan (West Brom) - 11 months
West Brom sacked Steve Bruce after a dismal start to last season, appointing 40-year-old Corberan in October. Despite an initial bounce, The Baggies were unable to reach the play-offs. Photo: Marc Atkins

14. (11th) Michael Carrick (Middlesbrough) - 11 months
Middlesbrough were 21st in the Championship when Carrick, 42, replaced Chris Wilder at the Riverside in October last. They managed to finish in the play-offs before losing to Coventry in the semi-finals. Photo: George Wood

15. (10th) Matt Taylor (Rotherham) - 1 year
Rotherham appointed Taylor, 41, at the end of last year, after Paul Warne left the club to join Derby. The Millers managed to stay in the Championship last season but have taken just six points from their opening 11 games this term. Photo: Jess Hornby

16. (9th) Tony Mowbray (Sunderland) - 1 year and 1 month
Mowbray replaced Alex Neil at the Stadium of Light just over a year ago and is remarkably one of the longest-serving managers in the Championship. The 59-year-old did an excellent job to get the Black Cats into the play-offs last season. Photo: Frank Reid
