We’re only 11 games into the 2023/24 Championship season - yet there have already been multiple managerial changes in the second tier.
Wayne Rooney has taken charge of Birmingham City following the surprise sacking of John Eustace and The Blues’ strong start to the season.
At Sunderland, Tony Mowbray’s side appear to have built on last season’s run into the play-offs, while just over a year has passed since the 59-year-old replaced Alex Neil as the Black Cats’ head coach.
Here are the longest-serving managers in the Championship and how long they have been at their current clubs:

9. (16th) Erol Bulut (Cardiff) - 4 months
While former boss Sabri Lamouchi kept Cardiff in the Championship last season, The Bluebirds opted not to offer the Frenchman a new contract. Cardiff then appointed 48-year-old Bulut, who has taken 17 points from his first 11 league games in South Wales. Photo: Ryan Hiscott

10. (15th) Gareth Ainsworth (QPR) - 7 months
After starting last season as play-off contenders, QPR became relegation candidates in the second half of the campaign. Former player Ainsworth, 50, was appointed in February and managed to keep the club up. The Rs have taken just eight points from their opening 11 league games this season though. Photo: George Wood

11. (14th) David Wagner (Norwich) - 9 months
Norwich started last season with big promotion aspirations but faded in the second half of the campaign. Wagner, 51, was appointed in January but couldn’t guide The Canaries into the play-offs. Photo: Stu Forster

12. (13th) Liam Rosenior (Hull) - 11 months
Following a spell in charge of Derby, Rosenior, 39, signed a two-and-a-half-year deal at Hull in November last year. The Tigers finished 15th in the Championship last season. Photo: Steve Bardens
