The Echo to host free Sunderland fan event and live podcast at The Fire Station before Arsenal clash
The Echo is joining forces with The Fire Station to host a FREE live edition of the Disco Pants Podcast before Sunderland’s clash with Arsenal
The Sunderland Echo is teaming up with The Fire Station for a live edition of the Disco Pants Podcast before the Black Cats face Arsenal.
The free event takes place on Saturday, September 12, starting at 3pm and allowing supporters to begin matchday together before the 8pm kick-off at the Stadium of Light. Echo journalist James Copley will be joined by Disco Pants co-host Connor Bromley and AltEnding’s Taff for an afternoon of Sunderland discussion, debate and plenty of laughs.
The panel will assess Régis Le Bris’ side’s season so far, reflect on the summer transfer window and preview the meeting with Arsenal. Supporters will also have the chance to ask their questions, join the conversation and potentially test their knowledge in a Sunderland quiz.
Whether you are heading to the match or want to enjoy the build-up with fellow fans, the event promises a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere in the heart of the city. The live show brings together The Echo’s Sunderland coverage alongside the Disco Pants Podcast and one of the city’s best entertainment venues.
James, Connor and Taff regularly publish Sunderland reaction, analysis and discussion on the Disco Pants Podcast their own YouTube channels. The Fire Station event offers listeners the chance to meet the presenters, hear their views in person and get involved themselves. The afternoon will continue with Tottenham’s game against Everton being shown on The Fire Station’s giant screen from 5.30pm. Tickets are free, and can be booked in advance through The Fire Station website.
The event will also give supporters an early taste of The Fire Station’s new Europa League fanzone ahead of its launch for Sunderland’s game against AZ Alkmaar. All eight league-phase fixtures will be shown across two giant video walls, with the away-game screenings hosted by the Wise Men Say Podcast and priced at £5.
