The Black Cats have parted company with Parkinson after a disappointing run of form, meaning the club are now searching for the third manager of the Stewart Donald regime.

. Danny Cowley
Cowley, and brother Nicky, left Huddersfield Town earlier this year - having caught the eye of the Championship side after taking Lincoln City from the National League to League One. The duo could prove an attractive option for some. Photo: Naomi Baker

. Kevin Phillips
Phillps has made no secret of his desire to get into management, and has previously thrown his hat in the ring when vacancies have emerged on Wearside. He’s a name sure to be mentioned again this time, too. Photo: Ross Kinnaird

. Ryan Lowe
The job Lowe has done at Bury and, more recently, Plymouth Argyle has not gone unnoticed - and he’s now one of the most highly-regarded managers in the EFL. He could be an interesting choice - but would naturally require compensation. Photo: Dan Mullan
